Seats at our table
Sep 07, 2023The sacred space of our tables:
- Tables are the places where we meet up with others - to share nourishment, conversation, ideas and support.
- Tables exist in our homes, workplaces, schools, community centers, coffee shops, and restaurants.
- We intentionally invite those to our table who interest us, are like-minded, support us, make a positive contribution, and have a desire to encourage and engage with us.
- We intend to protect our tables from many things such as hostility, aggression, distrust, drama, deception, invalidation, and disrespect, to name but a few.
The sacred space in life:
Whether it is around our literal tables or the space in which we connect and interact - who we surround ourselves with matters. But do we remember to intentionally invite others and also protect this space much like we would in relation to the tables we sit around? Too often it is easy to take a call or be pulled into another person's drama without pausing and thinking if we want to accept or decline this invitation.
Setting your table (or space):
I have participated in professional counseling & therapy, read the self-help books, listened to the podcasts, attended the conferences... and I STILL seek connection, belonging, support and meaningful conversation with others as I navigate my personal transformation into the life I want forward.
So, I created the LYFE (Loving Yourself Forward Everyday) Connection as a private, safe space for women to...
- come together and share their personal perspectives and experiences in community
- practice getting back to themselves through collaboration & connection, fun challenge activities, and more
- uplift, encourage and support one another in meaningful ways
If this sounds like something you would love to engage in, consider yourself invited to my table! Find out how to join here.
