I’ve created numerous vision boards over the years — assembling a collection of beautiful images and words representing my dreams, goals, and desires. But I realized this year that something about that process felt distant, as if I was curating a life for someone else. The pictures I was using didn’t feel personal; they were snapshots from other people's lives. Then it hit me - the missing piece was me.

What if, instead of filling my vision board with generic images of fit people, a car of my dreams, or professionally designed kitchens, I filled it with images of myself living in that context? Images of me smiling, confident, and embodying the success, joy, or health I was striving for. Seeing myself in those specific dreams made the vision feel more real. It wasn’t someone else’s dream—I could see myself in the life I wanted to create.

Creating a vision board with your own images is a powerful shift. This year I chose to explore what AI can do for me. Yes, it is intimidating, a bit scary and sometimes just plain old silly. But to see MY face in what I envisioned in my mind - that is absolutely powerful and moving. To see the cabin that I described and asked AI to create for me was so much more fun and personal.  It is giving me butterflies and excitement like never before. That is fuel I can use to create momentum!

It’s not just about visualizing the life you want—it’s about believing you belong in it. Now it's time to imagine how it WILL feel when I am living it!
